Amon G. Carter Stadium Renovations

Amon Carter stadium is getting a facelift.

Not this kind.

The school is working with HKS Sports and Entertainment group, the same folks that did JerryWorld, to renovate the aging complex.  It's a $105 million renovation on the west side and north endzone.

TCU says in a release that "the renovation greatly enhances the fan experience by improving stadium accessibility, seating and views of the playing field".

The renovation consists of:

• Significantly upgraded and new concession stands for better access and reduced wait times
• Elevators and escalators to better facilitate stadium accessibility and crowd flow
• A new, raised seating bowl on the west and north end for enhanced field views
• Upgraded and additional men’s and women’s restrooms
• Suites, club seating and lounges on the west side of the stadium
• A new press box

I say THANK GOD to the bathroom and press box elevator improvements.  Trust me, any stadium built before 1990 needs help in the ladies room department.  And that TCU press box elevator was like a ride on an aging roller coaster: it would lurch up and down barely reach the press box. We should get hazard pay for riding in it.

Good for TCU.  They have a great little scene going on over there during football games.  These are some great and much-needed improvements.
